Dr. Uesaka's research focuses on magnetic recording, micromagnetic simulation, and magnetic materials. He was with the Central Research Lab. Hitachi Ltd., where he was engaged in the development of magnetic recording tapes, disc drives, and magnetic sensors from 1971 to 1997. He joined the College of Engineering, Nihon University in 1997. Dr. Uesaka published 55 journal publications, 10 technical reports, and over 100 presentations.

Katsuhiro Kato

Dr. Kato works in several areas of communication systems including switching devices, I/O devices and CAI systems. He joined the College of Engineering faculty in 1980. He had joined N.T.T.'s Electrical Communication Laboratory formerly before. He has published more than 30 technical reports, and has authored two books.

Dr. Shimizu's research focuses on crystal defects, surface photovoltaic characteristics in semiconductor. He was with the Semiconductor & Integrated Circuits Div. Hitachi Ltd., where he was mainly engaged in developing Si crystal technology in devices from 1973 to 1999. He joined the College of Engineering, Nihon University in 1999. Dr. Shimizu has published 48 journal publications, 5 books (co-author),14 technical reports, and 38 presentations including 6invited papers.
