Yasutaro Uesaka Ph.D., Kyoto University Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Dr. Uesaka's research focuses on magnetic recording, micromagnetic simulation, and magnetic materials. He was with the Central Research Lab. Hitachi Ltd., where he was engaged in the development of magnetic recording tapes, disc drives, and magnetic sensors from 1971 to 1997.
